The critically acclaimed pianist and composer Jakob Park (b. 1975) has released 5 studio albums in his own name between 2009 and 2024. His music has been frequently aired by Danish Broadcasting Corporation since 2008, and his work as a writer and columnist has been featured in highly respected Danish dailies such as Politiken, Berlingske Tidende, Jyllands-Posten and Information. 'Samba 4 U' is the 6th release by Danish-Korean songwriter and bandleader Jakob Park, who has composed the music and lyrics in a beautiful apartment belonging to the Danish Embassy in Paris, in central Copenhagen and on two small islands in Denmark called 'Samsø' and ‘Bornholm’. Through the past years, the pianist has teamed up with some of the finest jazz musicians on the European jazz stage like well renowned bass playerJesper Bodilsen (Stefano Bollani Trio), drummer Martin Maretti (New Jungle Orchestra) as well as the virtuoso bossa nova guitarist Jeppe Holst, flute- and sax-player Nicolai Schultz (DR Big Band), trumpet player Thomas Fryland (AJO, Danish Radio Big Band) and vocalist Clara Vuust.

Jakob Park & The Bohemians have created an album with cheerful, amusing, home made and improvised jazz. As you can hear in the title song 'Samba 4 U' the musicians have fun while playing and recording the music, and you can almost hear them laughing in the instrumental version called 'Samba 4 U (radio edit)'. The album is a tribute to the history of jazz combining beautiful bossa nova rhythms and harmonic references to Antonio Carlos Jobim and Michel Legrand as well as a homage to the New Nordic Sound of Jazz.
