Apus Apus is the Latin name for the bird, the swift. This bird flies between different heights without landing on the ground, and can thus spend its entire life without setting foot on the ground. When we read about this, we were very inspired and started composing music based on the idea of “never hitting the ground.” That was the start of the trio.

The trio has always drawn inspiration from other Norwegian guitar trios, such as Bushman’S Revenge and Skydive Trio. However, during the recording, we were strongly inspired by the album Mambo Sinuendo by Ry Cooder and Manuel Galbán. There was something about the sharp guitar playing and the Cuban tones in the music that led us in a more energetic direction.
