Guitar player Joel Haag formed his trio in 2019 with long time friends and musical colleagues Björn Petersson on bass and Anton Jonsson on drums. Presenting the jazz guitar trio in a modern setting, the music draws inspiration from several genres. Combining dense harmonies from classical music with more open tonalities from free jazz, and always bringing interplay and energy to the table, the trio has found their own sound.

The title track for the album Six Feet Apart is inspired by a streaming concert series at the Brötz jazz club in Gothenburg during the Covid pandemic where the trio played. Even though you are supposed to be six feet apart, the music scene is not six feet under!
