CLASH is a danish quintet founded by saxophonist Michael Bladt, who has teamed up with four musicians who are all 20 years younger than the bandmaster. The band is based in Aarhus, Denmark.

The band creates a unique sound where tight beats and quirky grooves are mixed with more open, atmospheric passages and where synthesizer and effects guitar merge with saxophone and flute.

Michael Bladt celebrated his 25th anniversary with the Aarhus Jazz Orchestra last year, and it was celebrated with a concert with AJO, where the orchestra played new music composed by Michael Bladt. This project will be recorded in December 2023, with the English producer and pianist Bill Laurance, who is a member of the American fusion collective Snarky Puppy.
